It is hard to believe that I am coming up on the 10 year anniversary of Endless Media. Time has moved fast, and it has me looking back on where the dream began and all the times of trial and error it took to get where I am today.

The idea of starting my own company was first born back in 1999 with my very first business. At the time, I was living in Los Angeles doing VTR on film, commercial and music video set (now known as DIT). That first attempt eventually evolved into a second chapter when I was living in San Francisco and launched BTV Productions (more on that in the VLOG).

Around that same time, I had a vision of being a YouTuber before that was even really a thing. I came up with ideas for taking adventures and capturing them on camera, including a travel show concept called Wild Andy. Looking back, they were great ideas that were simply ahead of their time. Had I stuck with them, who knows where they might have gone. Que sera.

Most importantly, in 2017, I made the jump and officially launched Endless Media. It was a big risk. I was not a spring chicken, and starting from the ground up again was a lot to put on my back. The question was from many people, was I too old? I always felt like, you're never to old.

Over the last nine years, I have seen incredible wins and faced real challenges. Both have shaped the company and shaped me. One of the highlights along the way was filming what would eventually become widely known as the Jeep Gladiator Leaked.

At the time, it was only a rumor that Jeep would manufacture a truck. Our job was to spy on it. To do that we traveled out to the desert in Nevada to Chrysler’s testing grounds to capture this vehicle in a way that felt secretive and cinematic, as if we were spying on something legendary. I wanted it to feel like chasing Bigfoot or the chupacabra, maybe even like a military operation, all in pursuit of this new piece of automotive technology. The result was a 15 second spot for Jeep that I am still incredibly proud of today.

One of the best parts of that experience was the crew. I had the opportunity to work with some great friends out of Detroit who have gone on to do amazing things. I am forever appreciative of Ryan and Jerome, my producer and DP respectively. With their help, we turned that shoot into a piece of work that still stands as a meaningful moment in my career.

For that matter I owe Jim Toscano and Danny Gianino a gratitude of thanks for my first Jeep shoot with Noah Galloway (here). Those were amazing days.

Here’s to having dreams, seeing them come to fruition, and not being afraid to start over until you get it right.

Thank you for being part of the Endless Media journey.

Last blog, I wrote about my five part series we shot for Milk called, The Grind on Jake Vedder’s journey to the Olympics. Since then, it became official that Jake was selected and will be competing on February 12.

Congratulations, Jake!

In 2009, I started writing film reviews on a blogspot site called, Doc This Reviews. My very first review was Manufactured Landscapes, followed by one of my favorite films of all time, Waltz with Bashir. After its start, I wrote reviews each year from 2009 to 2016, and then I stopped.

Recently, I came back to it and realized I have a surprisingly steady number of continuous views that have been maintained over the years. People clearly like to look at documentary reviews. To my surprise, I have had over 30,000 views with very little effort to promote them, and I am currently averaging about 800 to 1,000 views per month.

It has been a surprise to me, and since I love documentaries so much, I decided to bring it back. Check out my TOP 50 (here) list for a great film or read some of the reviews from some of my favorite documentaries that I have seen so far.

Coming soon, my TOP 100. Stay tuned
